Delfin Anar | Philippines I was born in Bayongon Astorga Sta. Cruz Davao del Sur on September 6, 1950. I am now 58 years old. There are 12 children in the family - 7 boys and 5 girls. I am the second eldest child and 3 are already deceased.Before we became Christians, we belonged to the Oilism group. Oilism is worshipping different kinds of bottles of oil mixed with the different kinds of leaves of the tree. The men brought their swords, while they worshipped, ready to fight even inside the church. There was no real worship of the true God, but I believed that I was already a Christian at that time. But one day, missionaries came to our place to preach the Gospel. And there was a debate between the Oilism leader and the pastors and missionaries who came to our place. But still, God's word prevailed and, my parents got converted, so I believed that I was already a Christian. Then we returned the oil to the Oilism leader as a sign of respect.When I grew older, I came to realize that I, myself, needed to receive Jesus Christ and ask for forgiveness for all my sins. Then in the year 1973, I was married to Narcisa Anib and, God called me to the ministry, so I went to the Bible School together with my wife. But my father did not approve of me going there he want
