Nicole Cook | UKMy Mother gave birth to my brother when she was just sixteen years old. Her and my Father married two years later and I was born two years after that. When I was younger, I was introduced to the Bible and to the ideas of Heaven and Hell. During my primary school years, I participated in story-tellings of the birth of Jesus Christ and sang hymns with all of my classmates and friends. But when I became old enough to truly accept God into my heart, I had already become estranged from Him. Because of the influence from my father who is not a Christian, I believed all of the stories in the Bible were made-up creations by scholars hundreds of years ago, and didn’t think that any of them were true.My Mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when I was around eleven years old. To see my Mother become ill over time was difficult, so I became very responsible for myself and gained many worries throughout my teenage years. Not once did I think to turn to the Bible for help, because I used to believe that God was punishing my family for all of our sins.
